Breedlove Brazilian Rosewood OM Revival Calendar Guitar
This is the first of ten (labeled number 1 of 10) guitar from the January 2007
calendar series. Features traditional "X"- style bracing, German spruce top,
snowflake position markers, abalone binding, select Brazilian rosewood back
and sides, traditional style open gear Waverly tuners. Nice figured Brazilian
rosewood that has some calcium flecks in it that are typical to the actual
trees.
After this guitar was purchased, I happened to have it with me on a visit to
the Breedlove factory and talked to Kim Breedlove about the fantastic piece
of Brazilian rosewood used for this guitar. I mentioned the flecks of calcium
visible in the Brazilian rosewood. He stated that "they used to scrape all the
calcium out and fill it out with wood filler. But this was such a spectacular
piece, I didn't want to use the wood filler."
Condition: Previously owned and not often played. Virtually "new"
condition. Comes with original OHSC.
